Chryssa Banti to speak at IMPA Athens 2026

With over 35 years in procurement, Chryssa leads a team based in Athens providing full-spectrum supply management to JHI STEAMSHIP CO's fleet of four tankers and five bulk carriers, covering everything from food and beverages to spare parts, chemicals, lubricants and safety equipment. She reports directly to the company's Top Management and Board of Directors, and has built the company's procurement strategy around three pillars: operational efficiency, long-term value creation and risk mitigation, with quality control as a non-negotiable priority.
Known for comparing procurement to a game of Tetris, Chryssa describes the discipline as a combination of knowledge, curiosity, patience, passion and integrity and is a strong advocate for diverse, trusted supplier networks and proactive, digitally-enabled inventory management.
