Sustainability and the impact of ESG requirements on shipping companies and their supply chain will again feature heavily in this year's programme, as well as deeper discussions and exploration of the question 'What does "first-class" maritime procurement look like in 2024?!'

IMPA will introduce a NEW FORMAT to this year's event, which will see subject introduction presentations followed by panel discussions that will see stakeholders join and discuss a broad range of topics in an open forum. These engaging, creative and open discussions will feature key facilitators covering a wide variety of supply chain management subjects and enable everyone to get involved and have their say, ask questions, challenge ideas and learn!

We are pleased to welcome Steven Jones, CEO of The Sustainable Shipping Initiative (SSI), as a Keynote Speaker at this year's IMPA Hamburg event!

Steven is a former seafarer who has worked across the maritime industry and is now entrusted with driving positive change, facilitation, and progress in sustainability. 

SSI brings leaders together for a sustainable shipping industry. Through cross-sectoral collaboration, SSI has a wide perspective and comprehensive approach to tackling sustainability challenges. The not-for-profit engages through working groups and produces collaborative research following the SSI Roadmap; this is the route to sustainability and covers six fundamental areas for the industry: Communities, Oceans, People, Transparency, Finance and Energy.
