The Venue.
IMPA Athens 2026 takes place at the five-star Athens Marriott Hotel, set on Syngrou Avenue directly opposite the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre and just minutes from the Athenian Riviera coastline. The exhibition and conference sessions are held in the hotel's Chios and Corfu suites, giving organisers the flexibility to run sessions independently or combine the spaces for larger plenaries and networking receptions. Both rooms benefit from natural daylight, high-speed Wi-Fi and full AV support, backed by the hotel's on-site event planning and catering teams.

Getting There.

Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos): approximately 34 km from the hotel; taxi or the X95/X96 airport bus are the simplest options.
Nearest metro: Syngrou-Fix and Neos Kosmos stations on Line 2 (Red Line), both a short walk away.
Sightseeing Nearby.
The Acropolis & Parthenon — the obvious highlight and an easy taxi or metro ride from the hotel. As of 2026, entry requires a timed-entry booking through the official hhticket.gr portal — book at least a week ahead in busier periods.
Plaka — the old town at the foot of the Acropolis, worth an afternoon for its cobbled lanes, small museums and tavernas.
Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre — directly across the road from the Marriott — home to the Greek National Opera and National Library, with beautiful gardens and a rooftop terrace looking back over the city. Genuinely walkable between sessions.
The Athenian Riviera — the coastline stretching toward Glyfada and Vouliagmeni, with beach clubs and waterfront dining — ideal for a longer break.
Lycabettus Hill — one of the best sunset viewpoints over the whole city, for anyone with a free evening.

Hytra — a Michelin-starred restaurant inside the Onassis Cultural Centre, a short walk up Syngrou Avenue from the hotel. Modern Greek cooking — a strong option for hosting VIPs or sponsors.
e&o Pan Asian Restaurant Athens — the hotel's own rooftop restaurant and bar. An easy, high-quality choice for evening drinks or a group dinner with a view.
